How should batteries be stored for a long period?

In a cool, dry environment. They should be recharged every 6 months to avoid deep discharge.

Can I extend the runtime of a UPS with external batteries?

Yes, if the UPS supports connecting external batteries through a battery pack or battery cabinet.

What does self-discharge mean for batteries?

It is the natural loss of charge when the battery is not in use. For AGM batteries it is 2–3% per month.

Can I use car batteries in a UPS?

No. Car batteries are designed for a brief, powerful start, not for steady discharge.

What warranty do VRLA lead-acid batteries with AGM technology come with?

Batteries of ≤28 Ah have a 12-month warranty and those of >33 Ah have 24 months, with the registration form completed within 10 days and a copy of the invoice. Otherwise, the warranty starts from the date of sale.
