What is an automatic voltage stabilizer (AVR)

What an automatic voltage regulator (AVR) is, how it corrects mains voltage fluctuations and in which applications it protects your equipment.

Automatic voltage stabilizers (AVR) are designed to automatically correct dangerous voltage fluctuations from the grid or from another source (e.g., a generator). They use special autotransformers that continuously monitor the incoming voltage, compare it with the desired output voltage and correct it instantly. AVRs protect your electrical equipment or your entire electrical network, keeping it running properly.

AVRs have many applications and can be used with any type of electrical equipment. These applications include heating and cooling systems, data centers and other IT infrastructure, communications and industrial equipment, medical equipment, and more.

Tescom offers high-efficiency electromechanical stabilizers, in single-phase or three-phase versions, with microprocessor-controlled servo motors, a leading technology in the field of automatic voltage regulators. This architecture is ideal for all types of loads, as it provides instant stabilization, high efficiency and reliability. It also provides overload and short-circuit protection.
