Frequently asked questions

All questions
What warranty do automatic voltage stabilizers (AVR) come with?

AVRs are covered by a 24-month warranty, with the warranty registration form completed within 10 days of purchase and a copy of the invoice. Otherwise, the warranty starts from the date of sale.

What is an automatic voltage stabilizer (AVR)? How does it differ from a UPS?

An AVR keeps the voltage stable by filtering out fluctuations and noise, but because it has no batteries it provides no runtime during a power outage.

Can I use an AVR and a UPS together?

Yes, and in fact it is common: the AVR is installed upstream of the UPS, giving it a more stable input.

How does an AVR differ from a transformer-based stabilizer?

An AVR works electronically and responds faster, while transformers are slower but provide isolation.

Can an AVR support air conditioners or refrigerators?

Yes, provided it has the right power rating. Be careful with loads that have a high inrush current.
